3D Midlands Campus » History
In April 1982, the Lord supernaturally called us to Estcourt to pioneer and pastor a church. We answered the call and for over 22 years have been the Senior Pastors of the Midlands Christian Centre, which is a vibrant Bible-believing, Holy Spirit-filled church, reaching out to all people in the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This area, covering some 800 square kilometres (250 square miles), has a diverse population of approximately 200,000, the majority being Zulu people, besides Indian, Coloured and White.
Having a heart for young people and having been involved with them for many years in our ministry, we opened our Discipleship Training School in 1986 with 4 students. It has grown over the years and many young people have enrolled for our one year programme, some staying for 2 and even 3 years. Quite a number of our past students are now in full-time ministry.
Our prayer is that the Disciples for Jesus Training School, as it is now called, will grow from strength to strength and glory to glory, producing an ever-increasing number of zealous and committed Disciples for Jesus.
